But you must understand, the reason Gizmodo paid $5000 is because the person who had the phone approached both Engadget AND Gizmodo with blurry pictures of the phone. You see, GIzmodo paid 5k because engadget ,mustve bid around $4,500.

I'm extremely dissappointed the designs different.

I was all set to replace my (First gen) iPod Touch for a new one, if it were the same design as the iPhone.

Partly because I don't like the curvey back (Bluetooth + tinny speaker doesn't make up for a curved back IMO) and partly because THE NEW DESIGN IS B_E_A_UTIFUL!

I'm with you on the new iphone design being sweet but I think its great that they seem to seperating the iphone design and the ipod design.

It doesn't really matter a whole lot for me though, since I just bought and ipad and my 1st gen ipod touch does me fine.
