You do not even have to carry a separate camera. <br><br>You can simply carry your camera featured mobile phone, or you can carry a separate pocket size camera, or you can carry a DSLR-like camera, or you can carry a DSLR camera and with any of these choices, you can also choose to carry a Joby tripod or a full size tripod. Or you carry no camera and scribble on a pad what you see. I don't use it all of the time, but when I am going on international business trips, I do not take my DSLR along, because that is not what I am there for. But I like being able to take a compact and this along and I have gotten some good shots out of it. I just throw it in my camera bag and go as its very lightweight.  A good example was my trip to Seattle, tripods are not allowed atop the space needle and there are wires everywhere for obvious safety reasons.  I wrapped the gorillapod around the wires and had no problem with 15 second exposures and bracketed shots. I can imagine some people thinking they might hold more than the recommended 11 oz.<br><br>I bought the iPhone version and it amazingly handy (comes with a case for the phone that connects to the 'pod, a screw-in part for a small camera and a couple stick on tabs for anything else), but is there a trick to quickly resetting or re straightening the legs?
