This tech and software has the potential to become outdated and possibly even unsupported many years before the TV has to be thrown to the curb.<br>I think keeping things broken out into components makes a lot more sense. The proprietary software on all these internet TV's is slow with very limited functionality.  For this to work it has to be faster, easier to use, and upgradeable. Entertainment and media is becoming fragmented, while I agree with having choices it just doesn't always fit and some things are becoming overdone.<br><br>I think companies such as Sony need to have an aim for a certain set-up for the average consumer living room and then branch out from there with a few interchangeable options and ideas based around other rooms, a Display, a Hub, and an internet connection with a wireless router. To me, I do love external components.  I think every knowledgable person doesn't buy a HDTV/(DVD/BR combo depending on the date).  However, some people just want an integrated solution either because of a nice, tidy form without wires (ignore wireless solution for a good analogy).  <br><br>Some people will always just want to pay extra to get everything in a box even if it has more inherent weaknesses (though some times the consumer is ignorant to them) than strengths. Making it android powered just raises one issue with me, will the Android Market be available on it considering Google's segregation of non-smart phones and their access to the market.  I was going to get the Archos with android until I found out it doesn't have the market on it. As long as the tv is 47in and will not rape my bank account, it'll be my next tv.
