For an HD video to look good, you need a large bitrate. I've seen plenty of cheap digicams have crappy 720p video (tons of artifacts) due to not having enough bitrate allowed for the compression. I don't think Apple will do anything in HD if it doesn't match up to the Flip, and the Flips do quite well. Have you looked at YouTube lately?
