It's basically letting people (with certain tvs or setboxes?) to see movies during theater runs. So great for consumers who hate theaters and just want to watch the movie from the comfort of their homes.<br><br>And honestly DRM is not that big of a deal because movies aren't like music. I just want to see the movie quickly, why do I care I can't copy it and share or whatever? I bet most piracy occurs because people hate theaters but get sick of waiting for the theater run to end and the movie put out on DVD. The reason they claim they can't is for fear of piracy through the analog hole. Of course most people just saw this as a transparent attempt by the MPAA to get the FCC  to authorize closing the "analog hole" on all content, including Blu_rays.<br><br>The FCC did the right thing by essentially calling their bluff and saying, sure go ahead and prevent analog, but only on titles that haven't hit physical media, and only for 90 days. As long as I have the means to make it happen, why should I be stopped?<br><br>This is designed to prohibit people from doing something wrong before they do something wrong. And even then it only effects movies if they aren't available on Blu-ray and on top of that it's limited to 90 days. <br><br>So if a movie hit the theater today, Comcast could offer that same movie today via VOD and require that you watch it via an HDCP protected HDMI port. Hell then I would even consider a blue ray player. Bought.
