If you would get iPhone OS to boot on an Android phone, most likely half of the phone hardware would not be working because the OS has no drivers.

You must be crazy and arrogant to think that Apple doesn't look at Advertising and Apps to keep the money flow steady Those $1, $2 $15 heck $30 apps add up really fast. I know multiple iPhone users who have spent more in iTunes than what their phone is worth. ... lmao

Apple makes it's real money from the Appstore and iTunes, so no you are wrong. While apple take a small cut from AppStore sales, the majority of the money goes to developers. The money apple makes from the AppStore pales in comparison to the money made from the hardware.

I don't know why this guy is bothering. In order to do it you are going to have to be a tech geek, and haven't most tech geeks made the switch to android already.

I for one won't bother, while the android os is nice, it's ecosystem and support doesn't compare to apples.

I also don't understand hackers mindset. Computers are supposed to be there to make our lives easier, yet people are still obsessed with tweaking them. Fair enough I could understand that back in the 90s when PCs were new, but now it's just pointless. An insult? No. A fundamental philosophical argument, yes. Apple is closed-source, and very much so. Even their tirade against Flash and Adobe is bizarre, because he is in essence saying use HIS proprietary software, not the other guys. When you think about it like that, it makes his whole argument feel... sleazy. More a sales pitch than an actual concern about the future of the mobile web. But we geeks like hacking things, and Android especially, because we are not at the whim of the manufacturer or carrier to incorporate enhancements. How do you think I have Android 2.1 running beautifully on a myTouch? Use Apple if you don't mind having your technology controlled by one company. I can't.
