With software I like to scroll through the different effects, spending time tweaking everything and exploring. Can't really do that out of the box here; this product seems really limited.

Needs wall plug? I use amplitube on my windows laptop and it sounds amazing..I sold my amp 2 weeks after I bought it and I never looked back. I don't expect the ipad \ iphone \ itouch version to sound the same though, but it's still pretty fucking cool!

No hiss or hum or loss of tone. Current fave FX app is RiotFX but I'm really keen to try this AmpliTube one.
