The Toshiba, Dell sticks were all horrible. The Lenovo is a graet machine, and I am using one now. My previous laptop was a Lenovo, and lasted for many years.

The last part of your statement isn't completely true. HP for example offers an option for a trackpoint-like nipple on some of their machines, but it is simply garbage. The trackpoint is useful. Are you comparing these to netbooks? When looking at competitors in the 14"-15" range with the i3-330, this looks reasonable. Also I love the trackpoint. Use it for pointer, touchpad set for scrolling only and I never have to lift my hands from the keyboard. In terms of pure usability, nothing else compares.
