well they work on the basis that if you travel to a place that has 4g your gonna use it. because it is a cell phone meaning that one day you might travel somewhere and use that 4g service. i would like it if they did it like a roaming charge, like if you ping a 4g tower then you get charged for it. or give you the option to turn 4g off and not use it, but with it becoming the standard who would do that and why would they give that option. just my lil rant.
