They closed Friday with a market cap of 111.23 billion.  I dunno how that makes them the largest.  They are certainly larger than Palm was (to the tune of 100x larger), but not the largest tech company in the world, country, state, or even city (Palo Alto).  <br><br>Anyways, I'm glad to see Palm bought by someone with the resources to fully build out the platform.  I'm an iPhone lover, but no one can argue that competition isn't great for us, the customers. If something goes wrong with Apple, overwhelming smugness sets it right again very quickly.
