Right Now #1 is HTC Incredible, but not for much, because EVO 4G will take it and Samsung Galaxy S is also coming in the future together with MANY other HTC and other brands.
The problem with these other phones is that they are locked with their carriers and band frequencies, I live outside U.S.A. and just ordered my Nexus One which I love. If Google wouldnt be selling the Nexus One unlocked, my second best option would be to buy the Motorola Droid which at this moment is a little dated.
Nexus One was released on January 5, 2010. IT IS NOT OLD.
The BEST thing of the Nexus 1? It is the FIRST android phone receiving the NEW updates.

Yes, AMOLED is badass, I don't argue that. But have you tried, or at least seen, the custom Android (TouchWiz) that Samsung puts on their phones? When compared to EVO, Galaxy S is missing the better camera with flash, the mobile hotspot feature, HDMI out, and WiMax (which believe it or not, it's an important feature for SOME).
