It will require a basic Internet or texting play. It will not require a 30 dollar plan though. The original VU did not. Every other carrier does the exact same thing. Look at Verizons website and if you click on a multimedia phone they all also require a $10 plan as well just like AT&Ts does. Why get a phone with a keyboard if you are not going to text? And why get a PDA style (this is not one) phone if you are not going to use the data and email? Be a little smarter and think like an adult in the business world.
