I didn't find an example for Samsung price policy but if it's similar to Nokia's then the german price tag with €649 (that's including VAT) should be almost exactly the same as a US price tag without VAT. So about $650!

yes you miss the most important aspect of any mobile computing these days, the processor and GPU. Samsung's Hummingbird + PowerVR SGX540 is meant to thrash any Snapdragons in existence, yes dear, including your EVO.

Qualcomm with their Snapdragon might have an advantage as they can do more in-house, with their acquisition of AMD Handheld Graphics and Multimedia Assets in 2009 and their custom ARMv7 Scorpion CPU core used in the Snapdragon SoC. New faster Snapdragons are on their way like the 1.3 GHz and a dual core at 1.5 GHz.

Comparing EVO and Galaxy S size by size, there's barely a noticeable difference. The EVO 4G may be a little thicker and wider, but the Galaxy S is also slightly taller. If we say that they're about the same size, I'll take the one with the bigger screen.

If you record a 720p video on your phone, and you have the HDMI cable at hand, wouldn't you like to quickly view on your HDTV? I'd take that rather than transferring the video elsewhere, specially if I'm, say, at a friend's house.

You do know that just because the software supports it, doesn't mean all hardware will, right? In other words, not all Froyo phones will be able to be used as a WiFi hotspot. There's no saying if Galaxy S will, yet.

And anyone with a photographic background also knows that the more pixels, the easier it is for editing in programs like Photoshop. I understand perfectly that more megapixels doesn't necessarily always make it better, but also let's not forget the fact that Galaxy S is also lacking LED flash to take pictures in darker areas.

Being able to do it with a case, or being able to do it without a case... I see an easy choice. I don't have a skin-case for my phone, just my belt pouch, so this would be perfect for me when watching videos on it and whatnot at an office. But it's an extra, hence why I put the question mark on it.

Display size is not everything. You should looked at their spec too. This is more like personal preference. if i have to choose between 40' LED TV vs 43"LCD TV, I would go with 40"LED TV.

HDMI Out is pretty good. However, Galaxy S is DLNA certified. That means you can also look your stuff through huge DLNA TV(Recently most mainstream HDTV has it).

Mobile Hotspot is additional $30 service and Proyo's feature. No point to talk about it.

HTC Sense is good. Agree

8MP does not mean it is better than 5MP all the time. You have to compare actual output. I think someone already made good point.

4G....How about HSPA+ with Galaxy S(T-mobile)?

Kickstand is good but not required.
