The iPad sandbox is certainly the "sexier" platform, but ultimately offers little over even these devices if people can consume the same content for hundreds of dollars less.

On the other hand, perhaps with Apple setting the bar, people will look at these devices as cheap toys and more disposable products than the iPad, and not as serious contenders they could probably be.
