My last apartment was $2600/mo for 1300 sq feet. That was in cupertino right near apple though, so it was an expensive area. Right now I'm living in a 2100 sq foot townhome for $2100 a month, which is much better. Still, I lived in a $1200 apartment for a while with my gf and it was tiny! I think that was 800 sq feet. I'm sure its even worse in cities, but its still expensive enough here that if I didn't have roommates to help with the rent, I'd be in a pretty small place, and I make good money!<br>-Taylor]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Taylor. Yes, ikea is cheap. I got a whole 4 knife set with knife block for $4 in college! I put the pricing more in the DWR range. DWR used to have close to sane pricing, but for the last few years, they've drifted solidly into heart attack territory. Also, I'm sure that's a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defect, and not a warranty against normal wear and tear.    Thing is too, those are only good for guests as your really don't want to be taking your bed out and putting it together every night. We used to see them when we went to the movies before the actual film.<br>You could get into the Saturday matinée for 10 cents (yes, you read that right); if you had a quarter you could get into the movies and eat all the crap you wanted until you were sick.  Of course nobody watched the actual movie, we were too busy throwing stuff and screaming and yelling at each other.  Good days, for sure. Not just the Murphy beds, the bunk beds out of the couch was amazing, the coffee tables stacked were really well designed, and I could see great potential for these in child's rooms. Think of how much space in their own rooms they could play in and then just have beds fold down out of a desk or sofa.
