NintendoWare Weekly: X-Scape, Ben 10, Wild Guns

Even though it's a holiday here in the US, Nintendo has released a plethora of new downloadable titles for the Wii and DSi. It's a great thing, not simply because OMG moar gamez, but because it gives us a distraction from the day's festivities. There's only so much of Aunt Linda's trip to the Grand Canyon we can listen to, you know?

  • Voodoo Dice (Ubisoft, 1 - 4 players, 1,000 Wii Points): Ubisoft's action-puzzler is probably best summed up through this video.
  • Robocalypse - Beaver Defense (Vogster Entertainment, 1 player, 600 Wii Points): This tower defense game places the player in the middle of the robot apocalypse -- Robocalypse, rather -- as you whittle down the hordes of invading enemies.
Virtual Console
  • Wild Guns (SNES, 1 - 2 players, 800 Wii Points): In this historically accurate representation of the wild west, you must free the town from the grip of the Kid gang -- a force of ne'er-do-wells and robots and giant bosses who've taken up residence. Choose to go it alone or with a partner in this third-person shooter.
