Shame that WipEout HD only runs 3D in 720p. It looks beautiful in 1080p. Zone mode is something else.

@richb93 There are plenty of games available on the PS3 I would love to have. Wipeout, oddly enough, is a game I've seem come up 3 times today. wtf? Maybe its time for me to buy one.

I just love it when a dumb troll such as yourself uses those four magical words, "PS3 has no games" in any article related to the PS3. Here's a splash of reality for ya:
God of War III, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, MAG, Heavy Rain, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and coming up; Killzone 3, Gran Turismo 5 and LittleBigPlanet 2! I'm sure you have or never will play any of these wonderful titles as you're too busy bashing the PS3 with fanboy BS.
pshaw I'll just use my Japan Account and get he update from there. i got a 240Hz tv...720p 3D will do me just fine.

Why am I just so uninterested in 3D ?
It's almost the exact opposite of the feeling I'll get when somebody actually releases a viable alternative to the iPad !
@Threlly I was actually wondering if I was the only person wholly uninterested in 3D gaming. Maybe when they release those 'Playstation 9 spores' I'll be more interested.

I also have no interest in 3D gaming, 3D movies give me a headache I feel gaming could be worse. Might care when they create better 3D viewing technology.

While I'm not totally disinterested, I just don't care about 3D at this point due to its lack of refinement (needs a solution that doesn't require glasses, or at least allow minimal need for peripherals). I can't help but feel like 3D will be for games what CG is for a lot of poorly conceived movies: bloatware.
Come on Sony, give us Gran Turismo 5 already!
I got to play Wipeout HD in 3D at my local Sony Style store... was one of the coolest things I have ever done. darn shame this stuff is only in japan right now :*(
I saw a non-playable demo of Motorstorm 2, and was shocked at how good it was (demoed from a PS3 to a Sony Bravia).
To get this game in the US, you can create a Japanese account (search for tutorials on creating Japanese accounts). Don't know about entering CC# with Japanese prompts, but hopefully someone will post a tutorial for *that* too!

Joking about the whole seizure thing. :) I love Wipeout HD. Such a fantastic game. But too bad my TV doesn't have 3D :(
Still own my original PSX copy of WipeOut (the one that came in the long box). Man this game has come a long way since those days lol. Hard as hell in my opinion, but at least I can get my ass kicked in 3D now. I'm stoked for this release.
So wait...How am I and others with helmets and glasses meant to experience this "3D"? If I take off my mask I will die shortly after. Is it worth it to continue my Eliminator matches in 3D?

i refuse to buy or watch anything in 3d until the glasses are removed from the experience thank you, also wont if they charge extra for it

I love how "3D" is just as big a buzzword as 15 years ago, but means something completely different.
I played this at TGS last year and I can tell you that even as a hardcore gamer after a race or two you'll have had enough...
