It is funny, my first proper cell phone was with at&t (remember the rokr?). I have had them since june 2006. I was happy initially, but once the iphone came it just became ugh. I realize i am paying too much for my cell phone. Currently I have a samsung impression (worst os on a phone ever, had to replace it phone is a piece of crap and i will never buy anything samsung made again). I have 450 mins a month, unlimited texting and with taxes i pay about $75-80 a month -_- ... I will be making the switch to tmobile. No longer will i be bound to this crappy network. I live in NYC and I NEVER have 3g no matter where i am. Sorry at&t as soon as i get payed, I will unlock my phone and use it for $40 a month on tmobile (service is pretty good here in nyc). If not, I'll be switching to sprint (evo 4g)... Top it off with their nasty holier than thou attitude!

Yes, my first cell phone was the Motorola Rokr. I was a star in the hood that summer. Nobody in my area had the phone and it could sync with iTunes. I never had a cell phone before that. What do you expect from a company that just introduced a tethering charge AND removed unlimited data? It seems to me you should only be allowed to do one or the other. I understand that people who tether will likely put a higher load on AT&T's network so a more expensive unlimited plan may be warranted, but if you're capping the data then it doesn't matter whether the endpoint is the phone or the tethered machine. Unfortunately AT&T isn't the only company doing this....

Fair enough. In that case I think it's pretty lame that they introduced a 16% drop in data plan pricing with a 60% drop in amount of allotted data.
