I'm in the likes of stores such as Best Buy, Fry's Electronics, Howards, Sears, and receive online retailers ads every day such
as tigerdirect, newegg, and circuitcity.com ads. That being said, this new technology is great, but I will never pay over $3,000.00 for
a set. Get this...I went with my neighbor and he
actually bought one of the new Samsung 3d televisions for a gob of money. I helped him install it and he said these exact words to me. " Man, i'm tired of keeping up with the Jone's. I
should have waited until the Panisonic new VT series comes out." My point? Uckapple does make some good points. Not all of them though. I have the financial resources to purchase such a system, but for what logical
reason at this point? To say I have a 3d set and there really isn't that much media to
really take advantage of the technology other than the World Cup, a few blu-rays? I think not. The bottom line here is that one more color from the Sharp Aquos is great. I saw it at the CES show this pas January. I go every year since being here on the West Coast in Cali. I would just give it a year or two for 3d period to see if the standard will take off to
be the norm in most sets in most retail stores or online retailers. Peace....

blckman

Comments on Sharp plunges headfirst into 3D market with LV-series Quattron TVs, Blu-ray DVRs

Yawn....it needs stupid glasses..fail.

mukatuna

Comments on Sharp plunges headfirst into 3D market with LV-series Quattron TVs, Blu-ray DVRs

What do I do to kill this ridiculous eyeglasses trend? This is somewhat on topic. I think this a great breakthrough in the world of 3D. Nvidia and another partnering company are making a pair of 3D glasses that will be universal and backward compatible with any 3D capable television and PC. I think this is groundbreaking because many of us have complained about companies that produce their own 3D glasses for their own 3D capable displays. If this does come to the
forefront, then look for Nvidia to have huge stronghold over not just the likes of AMD, but other television manufactures. I'll keep you all posted and let's keep our fingers crossed for universal breakthrough as this one is shaping to be. Many consumers don't take 3D seriously, but it looks like we might have a company like Nvidia and others to make you wish you had a
pair that could work with any 3D capable set. Now, let's see if the headache and pregnacy will be resolved finally. We should only hope that this will work to everyone's satisfaction. Good luck Nvidia with this project. You're either going to sink or swim. What do you all think? Peace....

blckman

Comments on Sharp plunges headfirst into 3D market with LV-series Quattron TVs, Blu-ray DVRs

@blckman
Sorry folks.
