New iphone is around the corner (i have the old 3g) and now that ATT is starting the Data limitations, that is gonna suck big time. Although they are claiming you can grandfather the data plan. that evo is looking pretty sweet especially with the rooting. I havent been at XDA reading on android.. but i was pretty active back on the WinMobile 6.5 days and i used to change the rom on my phone alot... But i remember that being pretty messy, lots of issues, is the android platform much better in that regard? WinMo6.5 was a nightmare to me. No matter what custom rom id pick, there were always problems. Which I imagine you will since that's the whole point. My roommate and I had this discussion last night. If you love email, BBM, and battery life, they're perfect. But it's an Apples v. You install a rom you want and then you find out bluetooth doesnt work like it should. Other have microphone problems.<br><br>Is just a huge mess. Is lovely to hae the ability but 80% of the roms out there are crap. With the exception of cyanogen & enomthers and they are pretty much stock with tweaks.<br><br>I was in that android world for 2 years. Not worth it. So im back to my dumbphone (iphone) and im happy with it. The quality of the apps use to botehr me on android. The iphone have awesome looking software.<br><br>To each it's own. I went from iphone to android to webos. I just beat Super Metroid on my Droid. You can't do that on an iPhone without jailbreaking. Apple restricts apps while the OHA does not. That is the difference. That was my issue with Winmo a few yesrs back. I got tired of messing with the custom roms. SOmething always didnt work. I was doing a little reading on the current Froyo rom for the evo.. apparently none of the phones sensors work; and that reminded me of the Winmo days. I remember like every other week id change roms. That is why i have stuck with my iphone.
