Apple did a great job with the iPad, keyboard on Screen or remote hardware, why because they control the O/S and the Hardware.  Yes they limited it, but what did you anticipate for the price. Use the Qi + digitizer screen, let Asus design the hardware, expand the Metro UI Microsoft showed off, and include Zune Pass integration for good measure. That would be a fairly perfect blend of consumption and productivity for the average student and would set itself apart from the iPad. Cuz it's glass dimwhit. You can't do the screen's clarity justice without using glass, buddy, that's the point.<br><br><br>Unfortunate...maybe, but unless you happen to be sitting in just the right spot outside to reflect the sun into your eyes, then it won't really be an issue.
