Considering that dual-core Cortex A9 phones, including ones based on Tegra2, are slated for Q4 the idea that the EVO will be a top pick until 2011 seems unlikely.

Can you tell me what is so great about the EVO? Doesn't it have similar specs to the new iPhone but with a worse screen and an uglier bulkier design? LOL, you Evo fans are as rabid as the iPhone fans. What does the Evo have over say the Droid Incredible? The larger screen (which some don't care for), 4G (which is pretty limited wimax at this point) and a kickstand. Not all that much better imo. The Incredible even has an AMOLED screen over the Evo's LCD and 8 GB internal memory vs the Evo's included 8 GB microSD (meaning you could easily add another 32 GB card to the Incredible and have 40 GB vs the Evo's 32 GB limit).

Now, let's look at what the Droid Extreme has.

Droid 2 is actually rumored to be using a faster CPU than the Xtreme which going by benchmarks, is faster than the galaxy S and all of these are obviously still running 2.1. Right now the fastest devices are the Nexus one 2.2 and the Droid 2.2 Running a 1.2 ghz kernel.
