As much as I hate to defend Apple, the new iPhone looks as good as anything out on the market today.  I don't see it looking outdated for some time especially with the new form factor. You can also ask, why do people often buy the same brand of car? I made the move from T-Mobile after six years myself for the Evo.  I am really happy with my phone, my plan and my service.  Even with the Galaxy S T-Mobile is still behind.
