Add all the units sold from 1st day of launch for all the devices and it will blow any apple product out of the water. That's why the iphone/ipad do so well at launch, THERE IS ONLY 1 Model. If the Evo was the only android phone, I bet they would have sold 1 million devices too. Hence, selling out for HTC doesn't mean much. So, the 10K might have been an intentional shortage so they weren't stuck with an oversupply that they couldn't sell. Between the 3G and 3GS period, there were some good devices, but I think none of them sold extrodinarily well. You'd have to add them up to make it close. If you want to add up all of the iPhone launch dates and all of the android phone launch dates, android wouldn't cone close. Remember, 28% vs 9% market share... I switched from iphone last week and Steves little dog and pony show on Monday did nothing to make me regret my decision. Apple obviously has a large competitive advantage when it comes to being able to have many more devices available for sale at launch.
