Last time I checked it was at iphone4: 4,000, 45% to evo4g:3,000, 30%.

On the contrary, I believe Microsoft has quite a potential in the mobile section. Remember, until 3 years ago, they were dominating the PDA/Smartphone market. Microsoft is in a position to really pull off a cloud solution for its phones. The widespread of smartphones is yet to reach its full potential. they'll be competing with Android not Apple. No, as a matter of fact MS won't be competing with Android because the 3rd party cell phone makers that do Android will be doing Mobile 7 phones.

Everyone uses phones for different purposes. I'm simply stating my thoughts on why I don't understand Microsoft's mobile platform's name. It's called Windows Phone 7, yet doesn't seem to run windows (plural, meaning more than one window) on a phone.

At any rate, personally I like having more than on thing open at once. For one, I like to keep a memo pad up at all times so I can see a list of all I'm to remember that day. Secondly, say I'm playing a game and my friend texts me asking for some information. I can pause the game, do a google search in a new card to find the information, get interrupted by a phone call and talk on speaker phone while I'm drafting the email, send the email, then get back to my game without closing and loosing any information. To me, that's handy.
As you stated, not everyone needs that.
