This is product is a fine example of this theorized philosophy. This is... the 5th? 6th? generation of the mobile game plateform since the original DS from 2004 and it pretty much hasn't gone away from its original specs with the exception of added cameras and a downsize of components and yet Nintendo makes big bucks on every release.

But whatever the case, whether it looks like they're trying or not, this thing is gonna be pretty cool. Gyroscope, improved graphics, and Autostereoscopy gaming and imaging. This will be a pretty strong competitor.
