apparently their price plans will be up soon, we can expect them to be "very competitive" and "3 in the UK are working very closely with Apple in California" (They seemed very keen to stress these different locations, maybe they think other networks are incapable of transatlantic calling?)

Apple should halt a majority or their shipments to other countries in order fill the huge back log of orders here in the states. I don't know why they decided to launch in other countries the same day as the US. So - if you use last.fm, watch Youtube videos, use Skype, use any instant messenger or anything else they don't like, they have the right to disconnect you from the mobile Internet and still charge you the full rate. And that even before you go over 750 mb/mo.

It means 750mb over and 750mb over Hotspot, which is a joke. You would be mad to buy from Orange.

3 and Tmobile will offer the best data deals, for example Tmobile offer 1gb with the base plan and you can upgrade to 3gb and 10gb plans, all with unlimited use off peak and unlimited hotspot.

The satnav situation is depndent on what satnav app you use. Some like TomTom store maps locally on the phone, so only use the data connection to get things like traffic updates. Other satnav solutions such as google maps, download the map data as needed and using satellite or streetview will soon swallow up a lot of data.

Well, i dont have a Iphone 4, but i bought the 3Gs when it arrived from Telia (Scandinavian telecom provider).

I pay 8$(69kr) a month for unlimited 3G HSPDA+ 10.2mbit/s (even tough Iphone is limited to 7.2 i think).
