Doesn't get me wrong, I love my iPhone. But the one currently in my hand is the 6th one I've owned in 3yrs (owned a 2G when they first came out, only to be replaced once do to personal/ upgrade reasons. Their iPhone build quality isn't what you make it out to be. <br>As for the dude that wants to compare the Evo 4G to any iPhone, STFU. Seriously. One phone is for the masses, one is for bleeding edge phone geeks. Which phone is best is 100% personal preference so stop arguing now.<br>As for the original poster, what's up with your comment? Greatest news ever since the announcement.... makes me think you figured HTC planned for it to go wrong before it hit the shelves and this announcement is "proof" they are a consumer orientated company who's objective is to make the consumer happy. I thought it was a hardware problem since the video engadget showed said their "replacement" droid incredibles had the same problem. I assumed my Evo then had a hardware defect. It's a minor issue since it only occurs when I'm not holding the Evo which is rarely.<br><br>So I went to a local sprint corporate store here in Boston and put in a work order to get a new Evo to replace my defunct one. Only problem was that other people already had orders in and hadn't received their Evos yet. I became #27 on the list(!) to get my Evo replaced which Bob said should be sometime next week. Thanks Bob! <br><br>Hopefully HTC gets this rolled out within a week and I can test out the software upgrade to see if this really "fixes" the problem. It'll save me having to re-setup my phone, although there are some decent backup apps on the android market.<br><br>Get this out now HTC! The only thing why I haven't really considerd evo to be on top of my next phone list is that my current phone already drains when I switch the 3G on (which still gets me through the day without charging) but I want it to last a little longer such that when I wake up, my phone is still barely on standby (that I get from switching the 3G off). Now, I don't want to have a major feature which I should turn off just to get me running through the whole day (which I don't necessarily need by the way). But that's just me. It wasn't fully adhered when I got it, and over time it worsened. The wake/sleep button slowly quit too. Along with the 17" unibody macbook pro that needed the CPU and motherboard replaced after a few months, my only two Apple products have both been lemons.
