I can understand that. But the 30FPS is a software issue with a fix coming soon. It's not hardware and we already know what the phone's performance will be like when that is done (see nexus one).

You don't see anyone leaving? How about Bearpowers for one. Verizon is no more expensive than AT&T and they offer unlimited data with much better coverage.

The 30 fps cap issue and the screen responsiveness when grounded is being fixed. Htc knows about the problem and many users have already been e mailed back about the issue.

Now the only thing the droid x has over the evo in my opinion is its graphic chip.
Games have already been optimized for it. The snapdragon family had the adreno gpu, which needs to have games optimized for it.

If I was on verizon, I'd purchase the droid x, however I'm on sprint... So I purchased the evo.

They do not equally share towers... I have had both and was on prl for sprint and would drop all over the place until I was lucky enough to get a roaming signal from Verizon. Everyone just needs to recognize that Verizon is the best in every state except OK. It cost me only $5 more per month with the same minutes and unlimited everything else. So don't give me the more expensive crap either. Ohh and the Moto phones today are better build than the htc of now. I'm an Apple Supporter and a huge fan of Engadget. Unlike you fandroids I don't attack the writers/editors of Engadget. I don't accuse them 24/7 of having bias towards Apple and against all other companies.

I don't foolishly believe that Apple/Steve Jobs owe the sun, the stars, and the moon all served up in one super mega powerful device that has 3GHz processor and 12 MP camera....

Sorry but that's just me. I'm a realist. More importantly I'm SATISFIED with the iPhone 3GS I own and I know I'll be quite happy with the iPhone 4.

However I love and own a Windows 7 Laptop. I also own a 360. I'm a huge fan of Samsung (HDTVs and Bluray Players) and I can name a bunch of other companies that I like.

Really the only things I hate are

I received my EVO last week. I ordered it as soon as it was in stock again after the first shortage.

The device is flawless, the screen is completely flushed and looks great, if anybody received a defective device due to poor quality control just send it back for a replacement and start enjoy this thing which is easily the best Android phone out there now.

the droid 2 looks like a flop
i thought it was a fake at first like someone photoshoped the motorola backflip keypad onto it.

the droid x and evo are close to being evenly stacked
droid x has the slightly wider resolution screen
evo has the front facing camera and the 4g network

droid x is gunna cost you 120 a month
vs the evo for 80
