If you can get a ton more functionality from an iPad for less than double the current prices, it is going to draw a lot of people away. It uses an LCD screen, and if you've ever read a book on one, you'd know how absolutely terrible it is. I've done it. I've also read books on my PSP and phone. It's terrible.<br>I don't think the person who's looking at an e-reader is really considering the iPad. It's just not made for books and is only a side feature that is lacking solely because of the screen. Any dedicated reader who wants an e-reader isn't looking at the iPad too closely. JMHO. What are we, seven years old?<br><br>Secondly, there isn't anything there that says I am wrong.  As I stated, the stores have no knowledge on when the $50 promo is going to end.  They are going to do it until they get notification other wise.  Could it be when the new Nook is released?  Perhaps.  Could it go on for another month, and have it exclusive for the $259 Nook?  Perhaps as well.<br><br>I guess next you're going to say that I'm lying about being able to get $10 off a whole Cheesecake from their Cafe.  Apparently you are under some general umbrella where you aren't reading what someone is trying to say.<br><br>Not once did I state that they weren't giving out $50 gift cards.  I know for a fact that they do.  What I am trying to get through your stubbornness, and apparently your sophomoric attitude, is that only the people working at corporate, up in New York, truly know when they will stop offering a free $50 gift card with every nook purchase. Chop a hundo off it and I'm there. <br><br>Nook screen is nicer than the Sony and not locked in format wise like the Kindle.<br><br>Let's just hope it looks the same, if not better, than the current Nook.
