Honestly until the iPhone gets some sort of serious notification system I don't see how anyone claims its the top of anything. Just look at the review here on Engadget. The guy shows off multitasking with the messenger in the background but the convo can go on with you not even knowing anybody is saying anything. Theres no notifications. Its amazing how people swear up and down iPhone are so easy to use and miss glaring usability flaws. Those in the Android community already know that the DROID's 3430 is clock for clock on par with the Snapdragon (both built on the old 65nm architecture). The 3640 is built on the newer 45nm technology and you KNOW if the 3430 is on par, then the 3640 @ 1GHz is going to SPANK the Snapdragon chip and hand it its butt for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chipset in the DROIDX is the big announcement here. Moto/HTC etc all invest in a platform, then make 10-20 form factors wrapped around that platform so people have choice in size, screen type, camera options, etc.  The only one that trys to do a one size fits all, and hence the only one who would care about making the size "right" by your standards is Apple.  There are tons of people who want a bigger phone (myself included).
