What's the difference? There are DOZENS of other Android phones out there on NUMEROUS carriers, people have choices. Signal issues on the Nexus One? Sucks... But at least there are other Android phones to choose from.<br><br>Apple knows they build products people want, products that certain people just MUST HAVE. If you want a shiny NEW mobile phone running iOS4 you HAVE to get an iPhone4, you don't have a choice. You can't pick another carrier, you can't pick another manufacturer. A lot of people who buy an iPhone don't just want usability and looks, they want THE iPhone. They don't have a choice. I think Apple knows this, and takes advantage of it. For those customers who really want the iPhone (and these are there most loyal customers), they're kinda screwing them over on this one. I've always given these guys the benefit of the doubt.  But after a screen broken after 4 small drops and the phone dying after the first two.  The easily scratch-able Gorrilla Glass wanna be surfaces and the calls dropping a large amount of people hold their phones.  THEN coming into defend this product and say things like the Droid X is just too complicated.  <br><br>How can Josh T recommend this phone to millions of people with problems like this?  Just dismissing it as good enough but another competing phone that he has obviously never used for more than 10 minutes at a time is too complicated.<br><br>This isn't manufactured outrage.  This is just sheer disappointment.  I thought Engadget was better than that. I think the big E has a chance to put together an informative article since they have staff all over the place and can test devices in different areas and what not. He has loads of money, to spend on iphone4, even though not good, but as he is an antenna guy, he knows to handle these issue, and as he said, he knows how to do the vulcan antenna grip on his iphone.
