I got rid of my Pre not for a dislike of webOS but a dislike of replacing pre after pre with crappy refurbs. If something like the EVO was on the market with webOS it buy it tomorrow.

Things Id really like a webOS update to have after playing with the EVO for a few weeks are:

Widgets, and voice search like the android device. A MICH Bigger SCREEN, the Pre is way to small. I would really like a landscape slider like the myTouch 3g.

As a past iPhone user, then a Pre, now EVO

webOS wins in these key areas for my use. EASE of USE! doing several things on webOS is EASY! multitask obviously. ALERTS, are so far superior to apple, and android its rather shocking how archaic the competition looks.

Apple wins in the app catalog, and in "hardware quality" (although the reception is awful, ill blame att for the sake of the build quality is exceptional). Apple LOOSES big time in its restrictiveness to personalize and to get 3rd part apps. Their dictator like we know best policy for the apps is out of control.

Google WINS in mutli-devices, muti-carriers. Massive customization ability, very open platform. That said, its not uniform at all, the EVO looks and feels great, but the cheaper android devices are very unpolished, and basic feeling with out the Sense UI.

Basically, webOS if they had some $ (which maybe they do now) could be killer if they took what they have done so very well, and fix the small details. A utility to quickly port android apps to webOS wouldnt hurt their cause either, I cant imagine that process being to hard. They could quickly boost the catalog, and attract new buyers.

Kyle

Comments on Palm files 8-K with SEC on merger, VP of PR Lynn Fox leaving

@kchase731 It's LOSES, not LOOSES. It appears there are two definitions of a merger vs. an acquisition, a legal definition and a business definition.
