Trust me, it's guaranteed. Unity 3D is the most licensed game creation engine for the iPhone and the engine behind many PC, Wii, XBox games as well. This is a big deal for the state of android gaming.

I wonder how many of the main editors are strictly OSX users - further, I wonder whether being a strictly OSX user would result in an inherent bias towards Apple products. You really want to claim one of those devices is being covered more than the other? And if you go back further almost every other podcast is like this.

It's more likely a decision to avoid fragmenting the market, as it's easier to pixel double to keep the UI and apps consistent.

Also, the gyroscope is not an apple innovation (though it wasn't stated as such), and a feature coming inevitable to the latest smartphones. Kudos to apple for getting it first and implementing APIs to take advantage of it.

Google has already committed to yearly releases, and many of the OS features can be swapped out and replaced independently of the core OS. In this way, the browser, keyboard, APIs, etc, can be updated independently, which is a strategy that has worked well with PCs for quite some time.

The idea of a solitary OS running on many different system has been shown to work quite effectively with the desktop computer, and Android seems to be like this for the handset.

Android having to run on different hardware and specs, is a challenge that Apple does not have with a tightly controlled platform. At the iPhone4's 326ppi for a 9.7" screen is, the resolution would be 2529x1897 . Even at the Droids 265ppi, the resolution would be 2056x1542 .
