This actually looks extremely enticing. Honestly, I'd take this scaled up to 12" with 1366x768 and ION graphics. 13 hours of life is nothing to sneeze at (if it indeed gets this battery life), and gives you that 'battery comfort' that allows you to confidently leave the charging cable at home. The 13" Asus UL30Vt also had this wonderful characteristic.

I'd rather question the need to run Windows 7 on a netbook rather than the use of lower-powered components.

Using something more akin to a mobile OS, be it Android, MeeGo, Symbian, WebOS or even an Ubuntu distro I could make do very well with the equivalent of an Atom and 1 GB of RAM.

With Windows 7 under the hood I'd rather pass on that hardware though.
