It's just too big and I'm not talking about the screen size. They could have packed that 5 incher in a much smaller package. Bezel like the EVO and as thin as an HD2/iPhone4. I would forgive it if it ran some kind of crazy chip, but it's just a 1ghz snapdragon if i remember correctly that doesn't even have the power to do 1080p out. Not sure why I was convinced this phone was considerably thicker from pictures I've seen over the months. You'd think its larger surface area would only exaggerate its thinness in a positive way. Anyways, I still say it's too underpowered for such a large device. Droid X, Galaxy line and iPhone4 have it beat already. Personally, I've had an EVO for almost a week now. Some manufacturers are clearly hell bent on the "look at the shiny shiny" to flog their products. If the product was any good it would sell itself... and really do we really care what the packaging is? Once the thing is unboxed, we'll maybe keep the box for a while before it's chucked... remember your first mobile phone?? .. How cool was it!!.. Remember the packaging? .. The writer did mention it might be useful as a cradle. It looks like wires can still get through to the top and bottom of the Streak. <br>  Besides, of course we would throw out packaging from our other cell phones.
