Well, sir, I bought an iPhone 4 on the 15th, other than an iPod, I don't own any other apple hardware. I have no iPad, or Macbook Pro (I wish I did), etc. Quite honestly the problem isn't that big of a deal. My phone does it, but it's extremely hard to do. I have to cover the entire left hand antenna which is easier said than done. But even when I do, I don't lose service, and it doesn't seem to lose any reception, I can still download apps at lightning speed. I've never had to "deal" with an iPhone because there is nothing to "deal" with. This problem doesn't happen for any of my family, just me. I think the problem is in actuality very minute, and only effects a small percentage of the new iPhones, and even still, it's not a problem for those who have it. I guarantee if you asked every person who had this problem if they would consider switching to different phone or in any way regret buying the iPhone 4, they would say no.

Spartacus

Comments on Apple hiring iPhone antenna engineers for some reason

@Marko Who didn't see this coming? Everyone expects the phone to be ironing out basic issues like antenna design by now, wouldn't you say?

It also has to do with the fact that Apple lovers will talk about sales numbers as proof for having the best product when physical evidence proves otherwise. I'm sure had this been some brand new Windows 7 or Android phone that was wildly anticipated with these issues then you'd see everyone talking about it and Apple fans going berzerk with laughter.

When will people realize that Apple creates a good phone, but they are relying on their laurels from years ago with the Apple OS? The phone itself just inches along with processor bumps and some small enhancements meanwhile the OS still lagged behind in basic function like multitasking or copy & paste. Apple clearly has resigned themselves to just keep up with what's popular instead of actually reinventing things once in a while. When they came out with the original iPhone it was an awesome concept and the OS was incredible. Now it's not really anything special, but they'll keep releasing a phone every year with some small improvements and the church of Apple will pay their tithe to get another one.

htowngator

Comments on Apple hiring iPhone antenna engineers for some reason

@Pies The singal thing doesn't happen to my iPhone 4 mine works perfectly I tryed to force it one day I was able to get it to one bar and called my sister talked to her for ten minutes and the call never dropped

BallastatuzX

Comments on Apple hiring iPhone antenna engineers for some reason

@Kejeza
Nice, very nice! Most the people on here bashing are android/blackberry users who always look for some way to prove that their phone is better. The iPhone has one issue and their mouths are watering at the prospect of a downfall to the iPhone. Get over it dudes! Beside the iPhone I hate apple and think their products are extremely over priced and under powered, but the iPhone is a great product and by the "other users" showing such a tendency to bash this phone only further imitates the fact they feel the need to point out a flaw to compensate for how they feel otherwise. Little man syndrome is coming to mind!
Yeah I have the problem, and with a death grip i can duplicate the problem, but the call never will drop. But I have a case now (would have bought one anyways) and the problem is gone and I DO have better reception with this phone.
By the way... Who actually walks around talking on the phone using the "death grip", over cupping their hand all over te phone while talking? You should hold the phone different if you actually walk around like that. Here we got another one defending Apple. Its not eeeeeven about the issues, ARE YOU ALL F*CKING BLIND?!?! Apple is trying to rape u in the ass and steal your money, yet you all are too f*cking dumb to put down that shiny iToy and take a stance. Yes, 100% of any product will most certainly not experience a specific issue. My hunch is that the ppl w/o a problem are in areas of great AT&T service, that of which we know is very, very spotty across this country.

The fact of the matter is that there IS an issue, Apple then wants to say all phones have this reception issue (no other phone has an external, metal antenna exposed like that), yet they claim their phone doesnt the issue at all. Then Steve tells you all to go f*ck yourselves, spend $30 money to buy a 1cent rubberband -- and you all are fucking doing it!

Plus they training employees to lie, instead of fixing the issue?! Job posts of antenna engineers, after they claimed they have made the best implementation ever??? iFAIL! All you Apple kool-aid sippers are just being some fools.... but go right ahead, this is America right? Do as you please, even if its supporting such BS - they WILL be getting sued, no doubt about that.
