I guess it’s just me, because I think this whole 3D thing blown way out of proportion. I love movies and have a what most people would consider to be a pretty sweet home theater set up but I just don’t see what all the hype is with this current 3D technology. After having previewed the current 3D offerings first hand I’m simply not impressed. Who after putting thousands of dollars down on a crystal clear HD flat panel would I want to wear goofy glasses that not only significantly dims the picture but also dulls the color? In reality (or maybe just to me), proper 3D effects require either a huge screen (Movie Theater) or for the viewer to sit very close to a screen (Computer Monitor), a 55 inch living room combo just does not cut it. I'm getting kind of old, but through the years, starting from that time when TV first started trickling into our homes, I've imagined a day in the far and distant future sitting in my living room watching TV in 3D. I never imagined this level of quality though, not to mention watching on a five foot TV screen.
