It would be really awkward using a mouse for a game designed to use a stick, because the mouse offers absolute movements - as in, however far you move the mouse, that's how far your character turns. With a stick, it's relative - as in, however far you push the stick, that's how FAST your character turns. tehcnologywise, they're not so different, analog stick and mouse. quite often fps game, on pc or whatever, just reads the difference between last mouse place and where it is now, which effectively gets you a stick angle, sort of, and it works the other way too. so this probably reads the amount the mouse moved and uses it as a stick angle, which should be peachy. if the game has setting for joystick sensitivity, just turn it all the way up high and you can turn on a dime, but then you would lose the precise aiming, with this though, you wouldn't lose the sensitive aiming. sensible games limit the speed you can turn anyways.



this kind of tech was used and usable already on xbox1. so it's nothing new, except it's for ps3. also, you'd think that you couldn't use mouse as a stick, right? well, laptop nipple mouses act nicely like a joystick for many flight etc games.

Kinda nice knowing that your hardware will be good enough for 4 or 5 years at a time (probably at least 6 years lifetime). Indeed, I myself can play either but when it comes to which I prefer....hands down mouse and KB, the analog sticks just don't offer as much control and accuracy as a mouse or rather you spend more time adjusting your aim on analog sticks whereas a mouse is dead-on when I see someone.
