I'm with you. I'm very interested in Windows Phone 7 just because I already own a

1) 360
2) Windows Laptop

It would awesome to have a phone to bridge/connect those 2. Sorta like a perfect trifecta IMO. MS will def be bringing some huge development to the platform and the potential for mobile gaming is HUGE.

webOS on the other hand is one nice looking OS and powerful at the same time. Only problem is the lack of apps and games. I know Palm/HP are working on that but for right now one can't deny that they are far behind android and iOS.

If you're for real then I wish you a great time...honestly. I mean its your life. You live it how you want to live it. Life is way too short to be caught up worrying about what random people on the internet think about you.

I spent around 6 hours camping out for the iPhone 4 and I don't regret a thing. It was honestly a very fun time. I got to chill with some cool people who were just as excited (if not more) about getting this new phone.

If you have the same experience as I did then there's nothing to be ashamed about at all. Lol if it's anything like the Kin then of course it will fail. If you look at my comment history you'll see that I was NEVER a fan of the Kin.

From day one I warned people that it was a hot mess of a phone/platform. Kin defenders (and they are out there but silent now of course) were screaming how it wasn't meant for geeks and people who traverse places like Engadget. That it was meant for the young "hip" teen crowd (uh huh). Well if that's case then the Kin may just be the ugliest device ever marketed to what is supposed to be cool urban teens/tweens. On top of that I didn't like the UI itself.

The high data plan didn't help matters either. MS was just greedy (as that other Engadget article pointed out). They wanted to get their beak wet and get a lil sample of the mobile market before coming with the main course that is WP7. Neglecting the fact that there are samsung, lg, blackberry, iPhone, and even nokia phones better looking and similarily priced as far as data goes. Why would a teen who's trying to be "cool" get a Kin when he or she could get a Palm Pre+ or Pixi+????

But anyways it's done and over with. There's been a few prototypes floating around...they look passable.

I still cringe everytime I think back on the first time Engadget reported on "Project Pink" which would eventually become Kin....God what a nightmare. Whoever actually came up with those devices from a design standpoint should be fired and never allowed to work in that realm again....

Like I said in another post it's always 50/50 with Microsoft. MS can be it's best friend or it's worst enemy. And in my opinion, Kin was designed as a featurephone, but badly executed, and thankfully killed off before Windows Phone 7 came out. The real focus should be to get a variety of Windows Phone 7 devices out and have one operating system, and not 2 like if Kin survived. The way Verizon and Sprint are all about android these days are you truly surprised?

It wouldn't surprise me if MS is a little miffed at Verizon right now given the Kin catastrophe and the fact that verizon is all in with this whole "droid does" campaign.

People like to assume that Apple is running AT&T but I truly think AT&T is just waiting for Windows Phone 7 as it's other platform to truly push into consumer's minds. Sure they'll carry android phones but AT&T knows that it doesn't really need them persay. It's doing quite alright with just the iPhone alone and it probably want's to wait and take a chance on WP7 rather than jump into android at the moment...

Like how they butcher every android phone they've ever had and herald the iPhone because of its closed nature. They want to control you and bill you for everything they can.
