First, I'd really like to watch Hulu on it without paying $10 a month. And second, I'd like to watch videos for a course I'm taking that are only available in flash. <br><br>Beyond that, there are some websites I frequent with flash components, and I come across at least a couple on a daily basis which require flash either for navigation or for accessing content. Not to sound hostile, but it makes no sense to carry both around anyway, so why not just keep the netbook?<br><br>Anyway, this is a moot point, as this plugin doesn't plsynflash videos.<br><br>The rest of you can quote your stats all you want, I was on that side of the fence merely months ago, yet I haven't run into many issues requiring flash that I need to hop on my computer for. Besides streaming tv to my tv at home, flash is worthless. <br><br>I'm sure there are niche categories of users and developers that will require this, but for the majority of users, advanced or not, you can do fine without flash. Yes, crappy games and banners but what else? Anything actually useful, the odd UI piece that a lazy dev didn't bother coding backwards compatibility for? Didn't think so.<br><br>So again, has anyone here actually installed it?<br><br>@patp, I have already given props to those involved with this, it is indeed a nice piece of work. I'm not gonna say that "lazy devs" use flash, because coding for flash is a respectable feat in itself.<br><br>Apple vowing to not support flash in it's mobile browser seems to a bit of backward thinking in a rapidly forward thinking medium.. My thinking, as Steve's is (so he says) is delivering the best product for consumers. If so much of the web relies on flash for content delivery,why no offer the option to install flash as an app? I see no reason not to give your consumers that option. Of course you can say (as he has) that flash would be a resource hog, but what app wouldn't be? There are various idiosyncrasies between the device and the simulator, not to mention the multitiouch capabilities of the  simulator are very basic. Furthermore, in order to properly evaluate app performance, you need it on the device. There's really no two ways about it.<br><br>Anyway, I never said I was surprised by the lack of flash and I never said I didn't want the iPad. I merely am stating that after owning and using the device for a period of time I have found it insufficient to fill my needs. One of these deficiencies is solved with backgrounder, and hopefully the other will be solved by Frash, and I will have nothing more to complain about. ]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Antimatter]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Jul 7th 2010 3:03PM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
