After all its the ODMs, or the companies themselves (HP, Dell) that design it, and its up to the OEMs (Foxconn, Quanta etc) to make an item to those specs, so if I design a product to use a wire of lower quality for example, or thinner plastics, or plastics where metal or metal alloys should have gone instead, thats the designers fault, not the OEMs for fulfilling that design.
