So, can someone please explain to me why this is better than the original Droid.

I got the first droid when it came out, and it looks like it has the same camera, same OS, same form factor/size, and a smaller bundled sd card. Is the 1GHz processor the only thing that's improved? Hmm.... I'm not quite sure what you mean about the keyboard. It just takes some getting used to, but it's definitely not as bad as it was originally made out to be. I can't touch type very well, but I can't do that well on any phone.

Otherwise, thanks for the info. I don't think the Droid 2 is supposed to be a significant upgrade from the first Droid, but rather just a refresh. Today (in great part to FX delivering the wrong package to my co) I had actually held one in my hands....prototype possibly, but man this thing is sleek, thin, sexy, and very solid. Sturdy is a good word for the physical form due to the material is very durable and no shaky parts whatsoever. I could not turn it on due to no battery shipped with it. keyboard is what the leak has it. raised buttons...rubbery and seems like a very good keyboard (much better and droid 1). I wanted to take pictures but didn't wanna really deal with legal crap. 4 capacitive buttons on front...menu, home, back, and search. the overall feel is good...solid. I have had the Droid 1 and in comparison a nice re-fresh and upgraded device. I hope this helps clears some things. That was what i was thinking too. This is obviously a phone with less horsepower than the droid x, and not a huge upgrade over the
original droid, and they want to charge 199 for it? Seems like a rip to me.
