Ask any Incredible owner, you'll be hard pressed to find any that think it's outdated. It's a fantastic phone despite the Droid X. Smartphones are not much different. There will always be new phones coming out every month or two, especially with Android on them. The major difference between Android phones and iPhone is choice. Having a choice is not a bad thing. There may not be many differences in terms of specs between the iPhone 4 and top tier Android phones today, but there sure will be within 6 months.

Nobody is forced to keep up with the pace at which new Android phones are launched, so it's really not a big deal. If you don't like having the freedom to choose the hardware that suits your needs best, stick with the iPhone. That's your choice. choice is phenomenal, and whats better is it makes products cheaper. 2 years ago a TB hard drive would cost an easy 500. not you can get a 3TB for less then 2?

i understand it sucks with phones because everyone wants the latest and greates and new models come out all the time so its hard to have that. but hey you can buy a phone at full price, not be locked to a contract and sell your device when a new one comes out.

if technology didnt advance as fast as it does it would be expensive as shit. thats a part of why Apple products are so expensive, other then the quality is high (and yes the quality is there if you own an apple product) they limit how fast they come out.

They should be releasing one phone under the Droid name. So when you ask for a Droid you get a Droid and when you tell people what phone you have they know exactly what you are referring to. That's how you build brand recognition.

Offering choice is an irrelevant excuse. They all run the same software. If Moto want to release phones like the Incredible, Eris and the X then they don't need the Droid prefix. They can just sell them with under their individual names.

Moto don't even have the technological handover point as an excuse like Apple do. Moto are continuously announcing overlapping product releases and sub-brands under the same product name.

They are diluting their brand before it's even had a chance to enter the consumer mindset.
