As you can see from the video the switch takes roughly 10 minutes, so let’s just say an hour for arguments sake. Ok so you have on a high estimate $100 dollars invested in adding Wi-Fi to your free phone, this is of course assuming you have to have Wi-Fi. To get a plan with 450 anytime minutes and unlimited text/picture messaging and unlimited internet it will cost you $69.99 with Sprint, if you are on and individual account, and it will cost you $89.98 so that’s $19.99 more with Verizon, on an individual plan, the price per phone per month moves to $24 more and on up according to how many people are on your plan, I believe we have 5 people on our account and we par roughly $36 per phone a month for our phones. But based on those numbers if you were to stay with Sprint vs. Verizon assuming the normal 24 month period you would save $479.76, so if you really have to have Wi-Fi, $100 bucks doesn't seem too illogical, and hey my wife loves her Pixi, I don't think we will be messing with this hack anytime soon, but if she does want Wi-Fi this hack is still way cheaper than moving to Verizon.

Eric H

Comments on Hack brings WiFi to Sprint Palm Pixi courtesy of Verizon Pixi Plus radio board swap

I have a feeling this is the only person on the planet that will do this.

miko34

Comments on Hack brings WiFi to Sprint Palm Pixi courtesy of Verizon Pixi Plus radio board swap

Leave it to Sprint to not include a feature that was made popular thanks to the iPhone in 2007, and became a standard in all the major brands.
