The display it uses costs $1100, alone (resolution 2560x1440 ad it has ips built in). The processor inside of the iMac isn't a mobile processor. The new high end iMac uses the Core i7-940 CPU and the Radeon HD 5750 GPU with 1GB dedicated memory, 4GB RAM (Standard), and of course Magic mouse and wireless keyboard.
