I'm still using mine and going strong. How so, you ask? Because it may have just been the most extensible, customizable, hackable phone ever made. Since rooting, I've changed aspects of my phone with my mood. I've had all kinds of versions of Sense UI, and every major revision of stock Android, along with many custom ROMs built and modded by some of the best hackers and developers on the web.

Would I like a newer phone for next-gen 3D gaming? Sure. And I'll have one as soon as I can lay my hands on one. But I have a feeling my G1 will be kicking around for a while, just to keep messing with it's insides and see how far I can push the best phone I've ever had.

Mason

Comments on

@Squalor

White G1 FTW!

recharged95

Comments on

@lp894

Difference is, Droid has a replacement.
