for me, it all depends on how expensive the HDD is. I want the 250 gb, but I also kind of want Kinect, and to my knowledge they have yet to say anything about the 250 gb bundled with Kinect. If the price the HDD at $150 or less, I'd probably buy the arcade and then the HDD instead of the 250 gb console.

Arcade w/ Kinect + HDD = $299+$150=$449
250 gb Console + Kinect = $299+$150=$449

So if they price the HDD at $150, then my choice really comes down to matte finish or glossy finish. I'm more of a matte finish person so...
And if the HDD is less than $150, then I'm saving money. No you can't. Or rather you can get a 250GB drive for $60 but it's not an MS drive, it's a generic one and if you use that you'll be banned from MS Live.

Actually I have had a 250gb hard drive for quite some time
took a little work to get it loaded like a microsoft drive but wasn't too bad

But it is beautiful. It looks so much sharper than the ugly white blob 360. It actually looks a lot like the bastard child of a PS3 and an XBOX 360 arcade, I guess. The fact is, these things go with expensive AV stuff. And you sure as hell can't hide it in a cabinet. It needs to be pretty.

I own a wii and the sd slot is fine but:
a) sd memories are expensive (even more expensive than the "proprietary xbox harddisk" )
b) sd are limited, 32gb are expensive, 64gb are really expensive (costing x4 the price of a 32gb) and so on.
c) sd sometimes is incompatible, for example SDXC.
d) sd is slow in comparison with a internal disk.
e) sd is more prone to fail than a harddisk.

But yeah the guy is sad I'm pretty sure every console owner knows pcs pack more punch but I'm more then satisfied playing ps3 more then pc now days.
