I am absolutely of the opinion that the only place where 3D "works" is in an IMAX where the screen is big enough that it is all you can see. For me, if I watch a 3D movie in a normal theater then the 3D just doesn't work for me because I can see outside of the screen (walls, people's heads, etc.) and my brain just sees the 3D effect as fake. Given that my television at home is even smaller I can see exactly the same problem there so I have no intention of paying for a new TV and sitting around wearing stupid glasses. My Sky system will support the new service but I certainly will never be subscribing to it.

While I might not be interested in the 3D services, they can keep the HD channels coming. That at least is worth paying for.

Kelmon

Comments on Sky 3D channel comes home October 1 with Ryder Cup, EPL, movies and more

And this one has two laces one on the upper side and one standard.

wisausnk

Comments on Sky 3D channel comes home October 1 with Ryder Cup, EPL, movies and more

The Ryder Cup hardly seems like an event that would benefit much from 3D.
