Well then you'll wait forever, because a 3D laptop will always cost more than a similarly spec'd laptop without 3D. I wouldn't know about the SSDs, the general trend seems to show they are getting closer to HDDs in price, i wouldn't be surprised if they will be cheaper per terabyte of space in 10 years. After all they have no complicated moving parts.

As for 3D i think it's going to become a standard feature and you won't be able to get a screen or TV without it. just like you can't get a big TV without an HD resolution now.
